I know stats say bowl but a 30 degree day if don't get early wickets it's gonna be a long day

I get the desire to bowl. Untested, new batting line up for a team that have struggled in English conditions with better teams. Get them in and see how they do first up.... don't let India's useful bowling line up give them a nice scoreboard to start with. Put them in with a blank slate and see if you can do damage.

I was really surprised that England chose to bowl on the hottest day of the year so far. Maybe they rang Stuey Law to see what he thought they should do

nothing says "Oops!" quite like inserting the opposition and watching them close in on a 100 run opening stand at something not far shy of 4 an over

of course we are 5 mins from lunch and England have inserted India in the baking heat, failed to take a wicket, watched them rack the runs up and only bowled 25 overs............... so, normal day at the office, then

of course I can try to change England's fortunes using the reverse jinx, but I can do nothing about the over rate, which is slovenly and continues to show a complete disregard for the spectators who pay a fortune to watch them fart about endlessly instead of getting on with it

Nearly out lbw first ball, edges the second, nearly tickles one round the corner, then manages to get out to a crap ball outside leg stump.....
