MY understanding is he can retired not out if the umpire is happy its a proper injury, and can return before the end of the innings.

Bairstow out, and of course it's Starc. He's still got 6 overs to conjure the miracle. If anyone can do it, he can.

100 runs, 33 overs, 9 wickets. Surely even England can't modded it up from here. Can they?

Roy robbed of a magnificent hundred

Only has himself to blame for letting bairstow waste the review for the plumbest lbw ever

Why the hell did Bairstow review?

Bloody awful decision to give Roy, but England should have had a review.

Wobble time?

Nah, dont think England could lose this even if they tried.

Probably in the heat of the moment, but surely Bairstow or Roy would know which leg the ball hit. As soon as DRS showed the ball hit back leg, Bairstow was in trouble.

Not a bad thing if it takes all of the top six bats to see England home

Morgan looks as though he's trying to finish this before the rain gets here. I can't explain why else he's taking on balls and hitting in the air deliveries that could easily be left. It's like he's trying to give me a heart attack.

Despite that, I'm starting to relax. I'm anticipating another wicket or two before the end, just to drag it out and keep my heart rate up, but surely England can't lose from here.

PoTM. I reckon it should be Woakes, but Roy will probably get it, usually goes to a batsman.

Archer has taken 19 wickets at 22, 4.6 econ and 28 SR this World Cup. Most wickets ever by an England player in a World Cup (or any series for that matter). Well played sir. Well played.

The quality of archer and woakes with the new ball in the last few games has been game changing

YES!

England chase a target!

England win a world cup knockout game! :clap

England beat Australia in a world cup game! :dance

England make a world cup final! :party

First time in 27 years for those last three. And an utter thrashing - 8 wickets and over 100 balls to go! Incredible stuff.

For all our talk before the tournament about how England's bowling is their weak link, it has been outstanding in the last three games, and pretty decent for the whole tournament. Having Jason Roy back has also made a tremendous difference - he's scored three consecutive 60+ scores, 3 consecutive opening 100 partnerships for him and Bairstow.

:Eng: :Eng: :Eng:

Woakes does get PoTM. Good lad.

Fortress Edgbaston holds.

Root stranded on 49*...

And for once, it wasn't win the toss, bat first, win the game. Good toss to lose perhaps? It certainly did a bit in the first few, but England did bowl very well. Starc got hammered - 1-70 off 9 (and Lyon, Smith and Stoinis all got destroyed too).

Here's hoping there the ICC ticket website will receive a load of returns for the Final and announce "limited tickets on sale" on their twitter feed in due course

even when England were losing matches the bowling had been decent

straight forward win today by the look of it
