Semi-official. According to this tweet from TMS -
Eng coach Trevor Bayliss says @MoeenAli has a "good chance" to be the opener next week despite 41 runs in 3 innings

Did anyone really learn anything from these matches.
I think we need to evaluate how we prepare for test matches. Is shoddy preparation the reason behind so many home wins?

It's a shame the ICC don't step in and prevent games like this.
I think England would have got more out of one four-day FC game than the 2 two-day games.

Guessing Bayliss wanted all the squad members playing if they only had one 4 day game impossible for everyone having a go especially with England so adamant of playing 11 players or the games actually having a FC status.

Just don't promote them as 'games'. Which they aren't. Regard them as practice sessions carried out away from the public gaze.

personally think these games have to much media coverage does it really need so many journalist covering the games.

No, but they have to justify their over-inflated expenses to their bosses by pretending to take these warm-ups seriously.
