Ali, Stokes, Buttler, Woakes, looks strong. Not convinced Woakes and Stokes are good enough as back up seamer's, though.

I doubt we would play woakes in that lineup , but he has improved over the last year , just bowls a bit too straight still imo

What happened to Ravi Rampaul? I know he wasn't a world beater, but he got into the Indians a few years back with some pace and some proper movement in the air. Ok, he got carried away with the shorter ball in Australia after that, but as a bowler he had something about him. He seems to have faded away, and he must be fit because it seems it was a decision made from the selectors to not pick him for the recent World Cup.

It does seem that in the past they haven't even picked some guys that excelled in the domestic league, which is the biggest sin. If your team isn't performing, you cant ignore people who stand out

Rampaul made a decision not to play for Trinidad in the PCL, the four-day competition, thus effectively ruling himself out of contention with the Test team....

Maybe he's hoping to get a last-minute pick for the IPL. In any case, he played 50-overs cricket for Trinidad, helping them to win the title in January, so he was clearly missed Down Under....

And he will be playing for Barbados Tridents in the CPL:
