I'm confused here.

Why are we playing on so late?

Scheduled finish time - 6pm....add 15 min for delayed start (6.15pm)...add 30 min to make up lost overs from previous days (6.45pm)...plus a max half hour for slow overs today - 7.15pm at the latest yet we'll have played another 10-15 mins beyond that.

Watching the highlights, i wonder if the difference in this test will be the quality of the slip fielding?

I know Kane Willamson is a good batsman, and has done well for NZ...... but for me Watling is the glue in that batting line up... class act, and doesn't let the side down, real quality player, and easily good enough to be in that side as a pure batsman

Played very well, aggressive without ever losing control.

Williamson is still their best player for me. Not knocking Watling one bit, but sometimes it's easier, in fact it is easier coming in down the order, than it is batting at three.

I think a lot can be said of how many people bothered to turn up at the ground today.... at times, it felt like a Championship match.
