That's a handy late wicket to pick up.

Highest test opening partnerships by Indian openers on overseas tours in 2018

Rahul & Vijay 63 at Adelaide
Rahul & Shikhar 60 at Nottingham
Rahul & Shikhar 60 at Nottingham
Vijay & Shikhar 50 at Birmingham
Rahul & Shikhar 37 at Southampton

Tells the story about the starts the openers have given. Even T20 opening partnerships are higher than these. :no

Also says how Virat has scored inspite of not getting even good starts to capitalize on.

Pujara going strong. Looks as if India are on track for their first test win in Australia in 11 years.

He's been in close to four hours for 57. Great stuff.

on course to set his team up nicely

4 hours for 57?

a 'proper' cricketer would have scored that in 20 balls..... ask Bayliss and Smith... they'll tell you

50 for Chet. :clap Fighting it out and steering the lead to 216. There is one bowlers footmark in front and outside his off stump which Lyon is trying to pitch but Chet has negated that very well.

India well on top. Unless the pitch is getting flatter. Even then, Australia won't chase a big score.

India have done well out of the UDRS. That's 3 'dismissals' that have been overturned in India's favour this innings - all by Nigel Llong (I think). I hope it doesn't hurt his confidence much, I enjoy his umpiring.

All three to Lyon. Apparently Shakib-al-Hasan was similarly unlucky once.

Huge wicket of Chet. Out for 74. Bat and bad catch to Finch at short leg. What an innings. :salute

Lead of 249 with 6 wickets intact. Sounds good so far
