So, Wood has been left out of the next Test. That suggests Plunkett or Jordan will play.

Bilal Asif's action is confirmed to be legal.

Good move by England to bring Shane Warne in to have a training session with rashid and moeen

Should be money well spent

How would they fit him into their line up, drop Babar or Shoaib to make room? They already have only two pace bowlers so something has give elsewhere.

Plunkett should replace Wood unless they go with three spinners then Samit gets to roll over...er, roll his arm over.

I hadn't heard he was injured but surely if that's correct they're unlike to replace him with an off spinner and leave Wahab as the lone pace bowler.

True. In that case he won't play. Doubt they will change winning combo.

Something needs to be done about Wood. We can't keep carrying around a bowler who can't last a series. He either needs to have the surgery or England need to look elsewhere.

Strangely, he's named for all three formats in this series and that's after talk he might have his operation immediately after the ashes and get fit for SA or next year. Maybe the ECB desperately needed him for his video diary.

In an interview with James Taylor, he said Wood sent him a package containing children's cricket gear. Dunno... I'm sure he just thought it was funny. But, my heart sunk.

I referenced this the other day as evidence that Wood was clearly a massive idiot. I think Anderson, Finn, Stokes and by memory Broad (but the latter hardly, and Stokes more as someone who watches on, along with a back room staff member I couldnt identify by memory) were involved too. They basically ordered a load of Grey Nichols gear for toddlers, and forced him to put the pad on and play shadow defensive shots with a toy bat as they laugh at him. Taylor seemed to be going along with it, but in the way that a circus animal does.

Lets just say,it was the visual representation of what KP was referring to in his book. Funny to the lads, probably devastating and embarrassing to Taylor.... and Taylor is a guy who apparently has a bad attitude after his first journey into the team, which is funny, because I probably would have wrapped the bat round one of their heads.

Wood is doing a video blog this tour that's only achievement is to highlight what a childish, moronic and unfunny person he, and other people in the team, are.

From what I understand, Wood was hardly alone on this "joke" with the other senior bowlers being in on it. While there is a certain joviality in the package it is hardly what a bloke who has been overlooked time and again needs, let alone when it is broadcast to millions of viewers.
