This Pope doesn't survive long, on the second morning anyway. Surely they'll declare after 30-60 minutes...

Why declare? Highly unlikely on a pitch both teams would have bowled on first that Zimbabwe make the follow on total. Tickets need to be sold, why have a 3 day test when you can bat all day, Brook gets some runs, and you get an extra day of ticket sales?

I expect them to maximise the chances of a win. Batting for two days then drawing would be reflect badly on the captain.
