Not convinced about that - some lusty blows but he was continually backing away to square leg and was plumb lbw not reviewed.

Bit surprised to see Dawson off after an over in which Elgar went after him but looked less than assured in doing so...Warne thinks he should have continued ; and I rather agree.
True Moeen is on at the other end now ; but I don't see why they couldn't have gone with the two spinners for a couple of overs. Plenty of runs in the bank ; and worth risking a few boundaries in pursuit of a possible breakthrough.
We were wondering how adventurous Root will be as skipper . Too early to tell but perhaps he's taken the more conservative option here ?
