That's a shocker from the TV umpire. Pretty obvious the bat hit pad...and really looked as ball went clearly past the bat. Joel Wilson has been pretty good so far but he's made a mess of that one...

As Ian says , he didn't seem to look at everything thoroughly.

Not sure about that. If one of these goes soonish , yes. But the ball gets old after about 45 overs and if they have wickets in hand still ...England will probably struggle to nip them out.

Hard too to see how Buttler fits in the XI.

If Stokes bats five , then surely he can bat six ? Whether he can keep up his currant streak remains to be seen ; but that seems a reasonable option on present form. Then no need to mess Bairstow around - let him revert to 7 with the gloves.

Then Curran goes down into the tail. Maybe he should have a chance in the lower middle order. I was quite happy with JB1&2 fighting it out for the gloves.

Anyway, it'll sort itself out eventually.
