If Kohli goes on to play a special innings and India win, then i reckon England have grounds to feel pretty annoyed. Already 13 runs extra from him.

He's got the same bowling SR as Anderson and scored 137* with the bat!

He is Englands leading run scorer in this series. He has ridden his luck for sure, but so have others from both teams.

Whats even more worrying for Englands top order is that Curran is Englands second leading run scorer and has played in only 3 tests.

leading run scorer amazes me, but makes sense when i think about..... Curran second shows why JB2 is first

and you're right.... it is very worrying

Fifty stand :clap

Indian fans might be starting to believe.

But they've had a few close scrapes ; and are traveling slowly. You feel if England stay steady there will be a ball that does enough sooner or later. And then it might be tough for the later order...

India aren't going to fold easily , that is certain.

Get the feeling it's a pitch that you can bat on but it's tough to get in

So 1 wickets could bring 2 or 3 quick ones

Got it right. There is clearly a sound indicated in the frame after the ball passes the bat. We can debate this again lengthy, but its not for the umpire to make any opinions on what he thinks the sound represents. If it spikes after passing the bat, its an edge. Thats what hes done, and that is what he should do.

The bat on the pad also sparks a much bigger wave. There is quite clearly two distinct sounds.

I dont get the confusion. Hes clearly edged it and hit his bat into the pad.

If England can keep India to 3 per over from here-on, whilst taking 5 wickets in that period, then 30 runs will be required when the new ball is due!

:)

Still pushing those theories , Sussex ? I prefer the evidence of my eyes. And if you watch Kohli's reaction , he knows very well he didn't hit it.

Never mind , it's gone. And you can come back with the last word if you like :)

If anything, saying it was out would be far more of a conspiracy theory. I am simply saying, as the pure definition of how the system works, that there is a clear sound registered as it passes the bat, and a second much larger thud as bat hits pad. If you have any trust in the system on a whole, and the umpire role is to not question any of that, then giving it not out and assuming he edged it is the ONLY conclusion the umpire can make. He has done his job to the letter.

In contrast, once again, if there is some conspiracy being played out here, its suggesting once again that a phantom sound has registered as it passes the bat. Are you saying once again, rather than this being a simple explanation (the ball hit the bat), that twice in a series when this has happened, a once in a million occurrence has struck once again?

I think only one person is coming up with crazy theories here. I dont mean that as a stinging criticism, merely pointing out that whatever your eyes are telling you, the science is telling us something else.

I hate snicko. I have made that clear without prejudice to any decisions, its a crap bit of tech that is badly tuned..... I wouldnt use it, but we are stuck with it, so you have to use it as prescribed.

The right decision was therefore not out. The only decision you can make is not out. The umpire shouldnt be slagged off for doing so.

Kohli once again making scores. At what point do this partnership take india in as favourites? Nearly half way to the target.
