Root does look out of form in this series.
looked poor in the odi series as well, I know stats look good but he struggling to score runs easily and the guy is just too good to actually get out.
Still scary that a guy out of form can still score 50s regularly still.

Poor from root

Maybe he should just play tests and ODIs, give him some time to rest when the t20s are on

he is getting decent runs but doesn't look capable of scoring at 150+ s/r and thats what we need chasing 203

agreed, not like we dont have options to replace him in t20s, and t20s are imo by far the least important format at international level

At Bangalore anyone who scores at SR 116 in T20 after facing 15+ balls can be said as poor batting.

I see a lot of similarity in how Rahul played ODI and how Joe plays in T20. Both score runs but the SR is just not upto the mark in last 2 innings. Also the bat swing from both looks like the ball will travel for 90 mtrs six but either it is a mishit or somehow manages to go for sixer.

Pretty appalling 6 matches for buttler

Now need stokes to perform a miracle

Root was scoring at 150 for a lot of his innings, but then got stuck. Maybe as the ball gets softer it's harder to time, and India just batted really well on the surface. With Buttler gone, it's all over.

yep the only time T20 matter in international level is the World cup in 2018 and really Root could play in that if he does well in the odi format and is in the best 11.
