Rahmat and harshat had to rotate strike better

Allowing short to bowl 7 overs for just 21 and maxwell 6 overs 1/28 means they've ended likely 50 below par

My god, how will England cope without the 20 overs a summer of Wood bowling 97mph balls 2 yards over the batsman's head?

He shouldn't be in any of the sides irrespective of his injuries. The fact he is as reliable as a 30 year old Ford Escort with 2 billion miles on the clock is just the cherry on the top.

Given how pace heavy the England squad is, or now was, it would be a shock if they run out of fast bowlers.

There's still Mahmood, Archer, Overton and Atkinson.

on the topic of Buttler's resignation.... well, he was an awful captain, but prior to that a very fine player, so perhaps losing the captaincy will help him to go back to being that fine player for England once more. I hope so
