What's to be done about Bell, he's been out of form for a while?

Not much out there in the counties right now to fill in at 3 or 4, so I guess nothing.

I think with bringing in Wood and Lyth, England won't want to make to many more changes.

Perhaps Alis position as the spinner is more in question at present?

Root looks good to get over 10,000. Certainly got a lot of runs already and is only 24.

If Cook keeps getting runs though, and does stay around after he goes as captain, then he may well get close to Tendulkars record. Lots of ifs and buts with that though.

And we haven't had players playing as many tests as the likes of Tendulkar, Ponting, Kallis etc.....

Probably not, he will need another sustained golden patch.

Still only 30. Has played for 9 years, and if he plays for another 9 years then it is possible. Would mean he will play over 200 tests, and he no longer has the distraction of one day cricket......

So many factors to consider though. But English openers seem to play for a long time.
