He may or may not, what is clear now is that if New Zealand are going to have any chance, then Williamson will need to score a hundred.
It's been disappointing from NZ this series. I thought they might compete more at home, and losing the toss twice hasn't helped, but Australia have been the better team without a doubt. They should have this in the bag, barring something special.
Williamson looks set to be the fastest Kiwi to 4000 runs, even if he doesn't make it in this match he has 6 more innings to score 18 runs to beat Ross Taylor's record. Also going to be one of the youngest to that milestone as well.

Heart in mouth time, as Kane survives being given out.
Aussies bowling well, with a bit of swing the Kiwis didn't get. Duller day, but it's reverse they are getting. And pretty quick too. Should get easier, though Pattinson has a lot of stamina.
Kiwis 3-4 as they go into the lead.

Close rv against Corey. Aussies lose an appeal. These two hanging on but not looking permanent.
My best look at Pattinson was in the 2013 Ashes and he looked quick but didn't do much with the ball, even in swinging conditions. He's been impressive in this game.

What a great first hour. Fine bowling from Patto and Haze, but wickets intact.
Some of Smith's fields have been a bit too funky for me. No slips to the fast bowlers?
Pressure off though. Bird and Marsh not toting the same kind of threat. Runs starting to come.

Watched most of the first half hour, Aus looked likely to take a wicket every second ball. Went out for an hour, hoping/expecting a couple of wickets to be down when I came back.
Disappointed.
