Consolidation time. 300 is still very much on, just as long as we keep those wickets, in particular Buttler's in tact.

England don't even need to score a run a ball to reach 300, plenty of breathing space to get the innings back on track.

The new English way is to now go hell for leather from ball one. Unfortunately because we don't do plan b's it means we run out of wickets by over 37.

We'll still end up with our usual 275 which will probably be a 100 short on this pitch.

Trent Boult has bowled out already after 33 overs. It will be interesting to see who will bowl New Zealand's remaining 17 and how effective those bowlers will be.

Half expect McClenaghan to bowl out his remaining overs, so that leaves 12 overs from the other bowlers and only Santer has kept things tight.

Amazing what investing faith in a mind set does for you. None of the new guys have really done much, but what they have done is implant the positive mindset.

For one I am actually excited about England.... no more having to support New Zealand
