Not overly worried about the slow start, 1st session at Headingley this year has always been much favourable for the bowlers. To be no wickets down is a testament to England's batting if anything. Runs should be flowing from the afternoon session.

Or the fact that Sri Lankas first change bowler averages 50 and has 30 wickets in over 50 tests....

This is literally the worst bowling attack I have ever seen in a test match when considering they have a spinner that will get nothing out the pitch....

England should target 700 over two days in both tests.

England starting slow is no problem. SL putting them in would have wanted a few wickets in the first session.

and England might just do that when the middle to lower order kick on, but to hit the ground running in bowler conditions and more so when Yorkshire have been 3 down for 40 odd in both CC matches at Headingley this year is wreckless.
