Inevitably Root fails, too much to expect another big innings. Now it's up to Vince to prove he deserves his place.

Two for Sohail, giving Pakistan some reward for their attacking insertion.

Important knock for Vince, but would they bring someone in for the Oval anyway, with the stigma that has (and who?). Stokes is out for that Test.

Vince trying to get out in his normal manner but the ball failing to hit his edge. Next time maybe. Those deliveries at the 5-6th stump outside off are too appealing to him.

Well, that flick was asking to be caught as well, but just over the fielder.
