Morgan has played some very good knocks in last few series iirc. Continues his fine form.

dont want to go around this circle again but why do we want to put him at #7 and play 4 other bowlers behind him when with the likes of Stokes and Ali available we dont need the extra bowling

we've spent the last 2 years trying to deal with the argument that Buttler and Ali bat too low as they are better than a #6 and #7 without adding Woakes to that list

its not just a case of whether Woakes as an individual is good enough to bat at #7, its a question of how do you then balance a team with having to put 4 people behind him in the order

Not really saying he should be at seven. Just that he'd be ok there.

Concerns about his form can be filed away I think.

game has changed so much over the last few years, if you had a team 5 down in the 34th over then you would be fancying your chances of really slowing them down as teams would stop taking risks as they would be determined to keep wickets in hand for the late slog, the better teams these days dont worry about that, they just keep pushing and rely on that depth

Hundred for Morgs. Another hundred. Great effort from him and Mo.

i genuinely thought after a poor-ish last year and then choosing not to go to Bangladesh that his position was under threat, especially with Root being made test captain, but he has really handled all of that and so far is having a great year, averages over 60 at better than a run a ball

113 runs in 13 overs. Great turn around for England
