Was Archer unavailable for this? Willey and Plunkett leaking runs as usual.

Pakistan will.be annoyed if they fall short....not shown much urgency apart from small pockets

Fair play to Willey that was a good over.

And that was absolute plunder from Rashid.

Wicket might just seal it, but it's tight

Yes indeed, I was hasty to criticise him. Can Plunkett prove me wrong here? Hope so.

Pakistan's only chance is if stokes bowls the last over

Feels a bit surprising as Archer was left out, Wood didn't get a game. Maybe not 100% fit.

He was fit a couple of weeks ago. Fit and ready to go. Unfortunate that the 2 matches that England made him available for, ahead of this series, were both rained off

perhaps England are keeping him under their hat?

I have to say I'm getting a bit ssiped of at the TV commentators obsequious love-in with Jofra Archer (TV cameras spent more time looking at him than on the play), but if it allows Woody to play a lot more for Durham then I'm happy for them to carry on trying to out-do each other in their sycophantic musings. Even better if they can get Stokes sent back to us as well. He seems to be playing purely as a fielder atm, so there might be a newly qualified all rounder with half an hours international experience under his belt who could force Stokes out of the side if the oleaginous Mark Nicholas puts a bit of spade work in

Good work out for England today, though.

Looked for quite a while as though Pakistan were going to knock the runs off.

I thought the England openers bowled pretty poorly, if I'm honest, allowing a stiff run chase to get off to a flying start. Definitely some work there for the coaches to be getting on with.

England's batting looked very competent, and the way Morgan and Buttler dismantled the Pakistan bowlers was very impressive

England's bowling lacking a bit of class. While they've been assembled quite astutely for their contrasting methods, there's no single top quality bowler among them. Still, they'll often have a big buffer of runs on their side.

England likely to rest Jos Buttler tomorrow.

And a few others. Pretty weak side!

Early wicket for Woakes though.
