246, no heroics from Stokes and Leach for the last wicket this time.

Now India will bat for multiple days...

246 all out. 70 for Stokes

246 is certainly not a disaster, but the England spinners will have to bowl well. I'm guessing that Woody's job is to bowl fast and try to unsettle the India batters whenever they start to look comfortable..... shake 'em up a bit

The ball will just die impact on if this is a typical India pitch of recent years. I presume h'se just there for reverse swing. Until he gets injured. Might be worth giving him a couple with the new ball I suppose.

India wasting no time in trying to knock spinners out of their comfort zone

Just realised that England picked only one seamer, so the new ball has been taken by the spinner.

Wonder if that is a first for England? Guess you could argue Stokes is there as a seamer, but I don't think fitness allows him to bowl... and even if it did, he'd be far more useful trying to reverse the ball later than with the fresh cherry

I hope Tom Hartley is just nervous, because at the moment he is doing a wonderful impression of Bryce McGain.....

Going to be a VERY long game for England if their spinners keep dredging up this filth.

Ends the over with some better stuff, so hopefully he can start to get into some rhythm.

After a good bowling innings, Indian batsmen have made merry scoring 119 in just over 23 overs. Hopefully should look to bat 150 overs in this innings after such an excellent start by Yashashvi.

I watched england batting innings but I was on the golf course for India's batting.....did Hartley and Rehan bowl badly? or just a very good innings from Jaiswal?
