So Hales continues to improve with successive highest personal scores. Still not sold, but I didn't see this particular innings so I don't know if he had another 50 swings and misses.

If he consistently opens the innings with scores of 60 odd off 40 balls then that'll do for me.

With a hundred off the first ten it must be sensible to cruise at a run a ball for at least the next 15/20 overs.

These are two real batsmen groomed through the classic "Gower School for Young batsmen" so I would normally expect this.
