Well done to Pakistan for coming back, and the good spirit they've played the games in. Any potential aggro surrounding Amir's return has been subdued.

A few days ago Jimmy Anderson was talking up this team in a big way.

like Hussain just said 20 mins ago just now for me, Anderson was talking a lot of crap and was essentially bias in bigging up the current side.

Yep, people dwelling on how bad England were, and forgetting that Pakistan have played a great series.

Credit where its due.

Maybe next time England will schedule Pakistan for earlier in the season.

Joe Root on TMS telling us that there are positives to take from this series, where's my gun.

wonder if the press will attack england today considering they all expected england to win 7-0 3 months ago.
They really can't be many positives getting dominated by pakistan in 2 test and a half and failing with the bat in 3 test matches out of 4.

Really the only positive or new findings been Woakes/bairsow barring that england got more question than answers.

Hales failed so need to find new opener
Cook ok series
Root ok series
Ballance failed but probably the best he could do
Vince Failed massively
Stokes mostly injured
Bairstow been brilliant
Ali been good with bat poor with ball
Woakes been good all round
Anderson been ok
broad been ok.

in general a lot of England key players were average in this series which contributed to why england lost 2 test matches in this series or under pressure in 3 of the test matches.

shows how poor england batting is if Younis khan get in because of one innings.
No Anderson which is odd and Broad is included how did you pick the team Arthur.

really baffled how does Vince look a test player, by the way not bias, been saying the same stuff about Rohit sharma.
how does someone that probably gives 5-6 chances every time he gets a big score be a good test player.

crazy when people see rohit sharma or vince bat they fail to see that they actually get out.

what is that phrase dhoni/kohli use to say oh he look so good in the nets lol.

Not much in the bowling. Broad took some good catches and didn't get a bowling ban.

Contemplated leaving YK out and playing Mo, but had to get round Moeen struggling at the discipline for which he was primarily picked. Against that, YK dropped a hatful of chances, but ultimately was Pakistan's top scorer by a long way.

Cook''s captaincy was not great at any time in this series and in this game started badly and got progressively worse. Recently he put down his marker to captain in the next ashes series which is just his style. after all he declared after the 13-14 ashes series he was the best man to lead England and his mirror, mirror on the wall still agrees with him.
