Follow on has been highly unlikely for a fair while.and I guess with the main bowlers pretty hard worked today a rest might not hurt them.

But if England can nab these two soonish there might still be a finish to savour. Important they don't flag now that the magic number has been exceeded.

Psychology of this game is always fascinating. Batting suddenly looks less fraught...

Vital fifty for Chase :clap

Having a decent match.

England need these last two pronto or it could all go flat.

This might be close ?

so England have a decision to make. An innings forfeit feels unlikely and there are 11 overs left in the day

now I was about to ask whether England would consider opening with Stokes and Buttler..... and they have!

blimey... outside the box!

this is just the sort of scenario where Durham would have promoted Mustard to open (once upon a time)

Time for Buttler to earn his corn

Waste of time opening with Jos , in my view. They continue to fantasise about his capacity to destroy a Test attacks ; but he just hasn't shown any sort of form in the red ball game for a long time.

No matter. They really only need to make 100 , as quickly as they can. If West Indies can make 280 on the fifth day against the clock they deserve 2-0.

Play proper cricket tonight. Hit out in the morning.

All happening today :)

Seems England are hellbent on rattling up a very quick (80 ? ). Aiming for two new balls tomorrow ? cant really make the numbers work I'm afraid...

To be worth it they'd need , say , 88 overs to bowl. That's eight only for England to bat tomorrow...couldn't expect to push the lead to more than about 250...and I think they'd think that too risky.

Then again , if the ball starts running along the ground tomorrow...
