Agreed. Agarwal and Shaw to begin in the opener's spot next series.

I agree with Adi that the declaration will come before lunch if India are not all-out by then. My guess is that they'll be aiming for 450, but to be honest they probably already have enough. The batting this morning is to give a cushion and demoralise the Aussies as much as they can.

That said, they won't get any runs from 9-11, so a wicket means they won't be able to accelerate too much.

Aggarwal gives it some heave-ho against Lyon. Nicely played.

I'd be surprised if they don't already have 150 more than Australia could chase

Cracking pull shot from jadeja

Made a glorious sound of the bat

Followed up by a perfect short one from Cummins to get him out

Good cricket

Last 19 wickets have fallen for 265. Doesn't say world record run chase to me.

To have any chance either one player has to make 200+ or two to both get hundreds

And even then you could still lose

Very very hard to see them even getting within 100 on this wicket against some excellent bowlers

Think the Aussies will be playing golf tomorrow not cricket

Batting line up is hopeless

Harris is starting to remind me of mark stoneman

At times he looks a good player but keeps finding a way to get out

Wont make many runs against spin going hard at it like that

A couple of years ago their batting was poor and they made some wholesale changes. Not many of them stuck around, but I wonder if they'll do the same again.

Might even give Callum Ferguson another go.

Australia score is 94/3. :clap

306 runs still to defend and 7 wickets to be picked by the strong pace attack and Sir Jadeja who can be very useful bowling stumps to stumps on a wicket with inconsistent bounce.

Jas just bowled a very good over. Shami too is bowling well.

Shaun Marsh gone too. One specialist batsman less. :clap

Bowling change as Ishant replaces Jadeja.

When you are struggling , you never get the close ones go your way...

S Marsh , playing well , lbw to Bumrah...fair enough , it was hitting (just) : but on another day the onfield umpire probably gives that not out , and the umpires call verdict goes your way.

Having said that the umpires in this match have done very well - that decision was correct , after all , and to be honest it looked good live. But that little bit of luck Australia crave to prolong this just isn't there .( Probably used it up yesterday , I guess , with Cummins getting three top bats caught down the leg side - reward for good bowling overall , but still something that won't normally happen)

No doubt about this game anyway : India are taking a 2-1 lead either this evening or tomorrow morning. One more wicket now and I'd fancy a finish today. MMarsh could use a score here : India would prefer an extra days rest...

Head having some good fortune though : Pant unable to hang onto a edge off Jadeja... They've played the spinner quite well today (actually taking him for a lot more runs than normal) but you get the feeling that he's likely to pick one of them up at any moment...
