...and sure enough MMarsh chips him straight to Kohli...135/5

Marsh bowled OK ; but he is a liability in the top six. Might be replaced by Labuschagne for Sydney , perhaps ?

The sledging / banter or whatever else it is called is getting ridiculous by both wicket keepers. During one over Jadeja bowled there was more talk by Rishabh than the two commentators. :facepalm Really felt that Rishabh Pant was the commie doing the bulk of talking. Better to use the mute button in this series when both keepers are keeping to spinners at least. Useless stuff imo.

Jaddu bowled all balls above 87kph in that over. If he cranks the speed up a bit he will be bowling at Chris Harris speed. I think Jaddu or Vihari bowled one 97kph this series. Vihari bowled a bouncer as well. Spinners are trying to beat Shahid Afridi in pace or even Chris Harris in few years to come. Having said that, the speed of Jadeja directed at stumps on wearing wicket has been his weapon to dismiss batsmen as he can get sharp turn and bounce due to crack.

Just saw the interview of Jas with Clarke. Rohit Sharma at mid-off said to him that "It's last ball of over, as you use it lot in white ball cricket, you can still try". It worked. Jas plays under captaincy of Rohit for Mumbai Indians. He certainly knows his bowlers well. :salute

Ishant strikes. :dance Bowled off Inside edge. The bat connected the ball way outside the off stump as Travis attempted a on the up cover drive. Travis Head out for 34. Australia struggling at 157/6.

Head had battled away again...but still hasn't been able to go on to a big score. An honest player ; but not one who'd be near a vintage Australian Test team.

Cummins and Paine now : if one of these goes soon this will finish tonight , with or without the extra half hour...

Might finish before the one in NZ ?

Paine and Cummins - who have really been the two best performed players in the side , apart from Lyon - are resisting stoutly and raising hopes of taking this into Sunday. The fact that they haven't fallen in a heap today will be giving some encouragement for Sydney ; especially as the more overs they put into the Indian bowlers' legs the better ...

Oops I've done it again :facepalm

As I type , Jadeja gets Paine with the aid of a sharp Pant catch...

Won't be long now.

Tim gone for 26. 3rd wicket for Sir :clap Superbly caught by Rishabh. That should be the end of hopes for Team Australia to draw the test, if there were any. 218 to win with just 3 bowlers wickets to be taken.

Sixer by Pat. Lofted Jaddu cleanly over long off. Good shot, the best of the day i've watched today since i switched on the TV. He has batted really well and consistently denied us a tailenders collapse by making our bowlers fight for his wicket.

Hits a 4 now against Shami. The left elbow well above the shoulders, punched on the up through point. Moves on to 24.

Starc and Cummins not throwing it away... India surely very keen to take these remaining wickets tonight : a bit of rain likely tomorrow , although I'd doubt there will be enough to imperil the result...

Sixty six overs down so the bowlers are being made to work for it. Will be interesting to see - both teams - selection for Sydney in light of the wear and tear on their principal attack weapons.

Gold coin donation entry tomorrow - if it goes that long.
