Or, test match quality team playing a club quality team.

Didn't realise tonight's game starts at 3.20am. Day/nighter presumably.

Indeed, yes.

Muggy and overcast here in Canberra this morning, after heavy overnight rain. May well be a good day to bowl first, despite chasing under lights.

Rogers is in the PM's XI, Hussey out with an injury. England should still win comfortably. You have to wonder about these warm up games. The opposition is such that if you win, everyone downplays it, but if you lose it's a catastrophe. Quite why tours can no longer include warm-up games against first class sides I am not sure (although I think this game will have List A status, correct?)

not saying its what I would do but I don't think finn will be in the first choice XI once the serious stuff starts

if they want tredwell in the team they wont want to have a batting lineup with broad as high as #8 with 3 rabbits behind him

So I was wrong, England chose to bat, but to be fair the sun is out now :D

Openers look comfortable so far. The PM's XI opening bowlers are no pushovers.

On the other hand, the pair of first change bowlers have 5 list A games between them :o

I guess the days of the PM's XI being essentially 'Australia A' are long gone, based on this and last year's game.

Maybe Australia deliberately picked a weak bowling attack with this in mind, so England would open with Bell in the WC and fail miserably...
