In Mumbai it was 39 C few days back, Pune is 3 hours away.

Looks like long bowling innings for Aussies of 125+ overs in this series. Lefties in Aussies will find it tough due to footmarks created by all bowlers bowling over the wicket apart from Starc.

Aussies win the golden toss. :no

Ajinkya and Smith are luckiest. Both of them will field in slips while their team mates run around in heat during long bowling innings.

I don't think I can remember a series where Australia were the underdogs to the extent that they are being presented as here.

Ok, they got mauled last time out in India, and their last tour of the UAE, but those results were somewhat unexpected- while India were favourites last time out, I don't think anyone expected 4-0. The team disintegrated on the tour, but I think while India started as favourites, Australia were expected to put up a good showing.

In this series it seems no-one is expecting Australia to win a single test, let alone the series.

Be intresting how this pitch goes, comms crapping themselves already.
Really can't see it spinning huge already though might have some help for the spinners on day 1 compared to the other India home test this season.

Pitch look really dry already though and pitch crumbling where the bowler are landing.

Australia will do well to reach 300.

Going to be messy, considering ball will turn 3 ways with no ways of picking it and Australia already admitted they can't handle that in Asian conditions.
Australia got way tougher conditions by playing in Feb and March considering the natural conditions is spin from day 1-2 and pretty dry decks.

I expect Rahane to do well in this series as it's the first time I've not included him in my FL team.
