Big partnership. These two added plenty in Perth.

I felt England made a mistake sending out bairstow. IMHO it should have been a night watchman.

That will change the news headlines. That innings hit an iceberg just before the close.

Aussies to get their usual, home pitch 550-7d?

Always a chance a batsman goes, but how many times does a nightwatchman get out on the evening or early in the day and provide momentum to a side?

Never really understand it being used myself. Play to your batting line up, and not to some phantom mentality issues.

So theres some turn in the pitch, good job England are going to be leaning on a lone spinner who has a worse first class average and economy rate than Chris Nash, and the same amount of wickets.

that'll teach me for not watching right through til the end of play

could hardly keep my eyes open and fell asleep about an over before the new ball was taken, majorly disappointed to see 2 wickets fall in 2 overs before the close

another failure for root to convert a good start, he had looked really good again as well but he's just not making match winning contributions

Mo will get some runs. That's what happens when expectation hits zero (ironically).

hearing the pitch report today and seeing the forecast we might massively regret losing those 2 late wickets last night
