I remember my sister's boyfriend (who I may have mentioned played for Ajax) brought some Dutch friends back to Hull and saw me watching cricket on tv and had a big laugh at the state of the England players. Gatt and Embers stay in the mind. They thought it was hilarious that such unfit men could play sport.

I never watched darts.

Though I expect they all smoked less than Cruyff.

is there anything more frustrating in test cricket than a dozy run out? Good throw or not, they've got 5 days, why try to sneak a tight single in the first place? The management will probably decide that England were just a bit unlucky there.

Brainless!

What about Warwick Armstrong ?

Edit...oh I see you had already got him on your list , Arthur. He was a little before my time :) ; but from pictures... Maybe they didn't weigh them in those days...

And probably no skin- fold tests.

TMS says Burns averages 3.75 against Chase, who has dismissed him four times.

Run rate pretty sluggish. Guess they are conscious of the long tail to follow. West Indies have generally controlled the scoring rates pretty well most of this series...except for the Stokes mayhem last day last week .

Not a lot in the pitch , and weather issues about ; so I think they need to get a move on sooner or later. Suspect West Indies would be quite satisfied with a draw to retain the trophy.

Buttler being particularly cautious today : just three from 29. Waiting for the spinners ?
