This will all be irrelevant when England are 40-4 again. Just do not see the England top order being able to survive, they're so mentally fragile.

Ballance and Cook's mental strength is what they have the most of. Their batting skills come well down on the list. Too early to say on Lyth. That leaves Bell.

If England can be no more than two down at the close of play today they have an outside chance of saving this game. Cook probably needs to be one of the surviving batsmen.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.
