Pakistan have certainly torn up the script.

A few England players (Anderson, I recall) were telling the Pakistanis in UAE it'd be a different story when they came to UK.

Reading a bit of pakpassion and watching some of the pakistani news media channels, pakistan feel like they have already won the bragging rights since what ever happens Pakistan would be ahead of england since they won an away test match in england and England haven't won in the UAE/Pakistan since 2001.

For many drawing the series or losing a close Series would be a win for them and for this side.

Don't think pakistan would get a greater chance to win a series in england since 1996 especially with the schedule changing after 2020 and their being no guarantee Pakistan would tour england often after that date.

Without looking up the records for the last 40 years, Pakistan have always seemed a bit of a bogey team for us since I've been watching cricket. Can't remember too many series wins.

At the end of the English summer, some results fall off the end of the time frame. If you try the predictor on the ICC site, India lose 8 points at the end of this England v Pakistan series, before you factor in their series v WI.

Seems like England can not be number 2 now in the rankings well they can be but india has to lose the series to WI.
Pakistan can be Number 2 if it wins the series 2-0 or better.
2-1 could be enough but it depends on india losing or drawing the test series.

Just checked if Pakistan win the series 1-0 and india draws the series, India will be number 4 in the rankings.
if india win the series they are guaranteed 3rd place and winning 3-0 or better being enough to guarantee 2nd place for india.

TBH just like I said yesterday to some aussie women at the cricket really no stand out team at test cricket 4-5 teams closely matched together.

Ah ok now I know what the issue is Arthur basically you have to finish all the predictions before you check the rankings, since it assumed all the other series is an 0-0 and not being played yet so Australia, India all lost points if you only entered england test results.

when I was playing it Sri lanka gained and Australia loss points.
