Nah toss is only important for the opposition teams.
The only time the toss is important for India is when ball does nothing for the first 2 days.

Good to see a deck where it takes the toss out of the question.
Really as a home team you never want the toss mattering since 50% of the time you lose the toss.
So why would you want a deck that means you doing something you can’t get anything out of 50% of the time.

The only reason the toss is big for England because they know the game gone if India score 300 in the first innings.
Plus batting get more harder as the game goes on so they never exactly want to bat last.
Issue is they can’t exactly score runs on day 1 either so basically toss is pointless for India what ever happens at the toss India knows they getting 20 wickets.

Its not a rank turner. Just enough turn to make sure the variation balls produce false shots if not picked.

And very worryingly for England, since tea there has been far less spin as the ball softens.

Foakes seems a bit stuck in saving his test career not wanting to fail, and just batting going nowhere while India are quite happy to get balls at the tailender. Someone really needs to tell Foakes to play some shots now
