Maybe Australia deliberately picked a weak bowling attack with this in mind, so England would open with Bell in the WC and fail miserably...

I reckon the top 8 here will be the same as the team that starts in the WC given hales hasn't been played in either of these warmups

just been popping in and out of the cricinfo text commentary but what looks impressive about this partnership between bell and taylor is that they have rotated the strike very well , 127 partnership at a run a ball without relying on too many boundaries , in fact we haven't hit a 6 yet in the game and are still going at a run rate of 6.66

Looks likely, doesn't it. In fact I think it will be ten of the same XI lining up vs Australia on Friday, with the only change being Anderson for Jordan.

Bell's on for a double. Thought Buttler may have strode out when Taylor went.

was just thinking the same thing about buttler

isn't that what they have said they want him to do , bat for the last ten overs or so

bell passing 150 seems to have broken the formatting on the main page ;)

The double looks off. Buttler's in now. 5 overs to do some damage.

Batting practice for Root, is what was on the agenda. I hope once the serious matches start, they tinker a bit with the batting order. I'm sure they will.

Actually Bell's highest ever List A score, if this counts as a List A game that is. Fine innings against a decent bowling line up. Good knocks from Ali and Taylor too.

yeah probably could script the innings much better , even if it isn't the strongest bowling they are facing

fast start by one of your openers , big partnership for the second wicket at a run a ball with one of the top 3 batting right through and making a big hundred, then tee off in the last 12-15 overs

Falling apart a bit at the end. It's difficult to come out and make runs from ball 1.

Falling apart? 110 off the last 10 overs is hardly falling apart. Ok, a few wickets down, but slogging you're always going to lose a few. It is hard to come in and go for the boundary from ball 1.

a little cant really argue with making 390+ tho

bell just fails to get the not out , cracking innings tho, scored his last 87 runs at a s/r close to 200
