Samit Patel and Bilal Asif seen practising this morning.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Taylor in for Buttler, and Samit in for Wood...England have three spinners - Rashid, Samit and Moeen.
Nobody has a stance quite like the mighty Shivnarine....

Three spinners... and not a specialist among them. Surprised Samit is playing, unless they think the pace bowlers will physically struggle in the heat. Patel is basically a specialist bat who will come in at eight.

Baring in mind we need to win, I'm surprised Finn or Plunkett were not brought in.

Jimmy level with Pollock now.

Hopefully he'll be able to bowl economically, unlike his other spin triplets.

Commentators are saying it will spin big.

Nearly a chance to Taylor off Mo.

Patel was quite tight in India if I can recall? Looking at this team, it does look a little like a ODI side.

Yes. Don't think Andy Flower will like this side.

Will Root have a bowl, or is his back still playing him up?

lucky wicket for moeen with a long hop gets hafeez

he has been bowling terribly so hopefully that gives him some confidence

this test series was always going to be very hard work and i think we have done remarkably well considering we have lost the toss in all 3 tests

He's had the odd over.

Wicket for Mo off a long hop. Not going to impress his detractors, but typical that he gets a scalp from an attacking shot. Good start for England though.

But now, Younis Khan.

samit looks a better spinner than moeen as he rips a couple past the edge of younus

think that says more about moeen than samit though
