He needed to get back in form. He was averaging 22 for one year. The problem though is that as soon as one out of form gets rid of 22 average, other player takes his spot as far as average is concerned. Now Alex hales is averaging 21. When he will average higher someone else will perform poorly. One of the reason why England are a low ranked ODI team. The other reason is not too many hundreds or big hundreds from even the men in form.
