Chandimal's fitness will be a concern for SL tomorrow or later in this series. Not sure how serious it is but be rested once today after he was limping while chasing the ball. Also fielded in slips after he came back for fielding. Was also limping there. Hopefully there will be no rain tomorrow.

looks like England got out of jail today.
Debutants benefit from being unknown, of course, but a good start for Foakes after coming in with England in trouble

I've been saying for a while that England should be playing Foakes. Glad that he's done well. I'm sure he'll get bumped for Bairstow the moment YJB is fit again though.

Ball isn't turning much yet. Think England have got the best of batting conditions. They would be very glad to see so little turn in Asia. Advantages of batting first in Asia.

Third slip comes in as well as another fielder making the inner circle. SL might hold a team meeting with so many players so nearby.

Out on 107 in attempt to score quick runs with the last batsman out.
342 all out. IMO England should have got 400 here. The 60 odd runs can be very crucial once ball starts to spin. Still nothing in wicket to worry batsmen.
