Pitches are better for bowling this time, but compare the spin for England in this series with th last in India where all the spin options were hopeless (and Leach was left at home).

They do I think, it's so slow that it can't be by accident - I can only conclude that they were deliberately slowing the game down because of the match situation - although I'm not sure it'll make any difference
Might speed up if Root gets near a ban.
