Listening to Ed Smith talk about Cook is like hearing the BBC royal correspondent talking about the monarchy.

Boycott is on a loop. He just repeats the same banal opinion. Doesn't he get bored listening to himself?

I know what you mean about Boycott and Warne, Botham and Bumble do the same. It's extremely irritating.

Looks a good total for Pakistan. England got reverse and spin, and Pakistan are better at bowling both of those. And batting last, England need a decent lead at half way.

After day one of the last test I said Pakistan would be all out for 380.

They went on to get a lot more than that.

This time I'm glad I kept my mouth shut.

I had to de-friend the ECB on social media because of the tiresome glorification of all things cricket.

"Watch this video of legend Ali Cook talking about how to eat a sandwich better than anyone else".... followed by " 10 things we love about Ben Stokes and 10 reasons why he could make love to your wife much better than you"....

Wood's "funny" videos were probably the tipping point... none were funny in the slightest, all I was left thinking is "is a 400k central contract worth the pain of going on tour with this prat"?
