What green decks? Who would prepare green decks for an opposing bowling attack of Johnson. Starc etc.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Slow pitches for the Aussies in England, but grassy. Not as extreme as the one prepared for India at Lord's though.

was still grassy and the game still finished in 3 days.
the point is why are people not making the same noises like they did in Nagpur/Mohali.

The ashes was Australian batting incompetence not the pitches

And this pitch hasn't done much either tbh, batsmen these days just can't play the moving ball

In the same way they can't play the spinning ball as nobody trusts their

Personally I agree with kohli that these test matches are preferable to 500 plays 500 and I think playing on rank turners actually gives the away team a chance as it levels the playing field. It just so happened that everyone bar amla and AB are useless against spin in the current SA batting line up. They didn't use their feet, they didn't sweep they just kept prodding forward then wondering why they edged behind.

Plenty did, and some defended them. Same as is happening with India.

Don't expect the UK press to say anything the ECB won't like though.

Making inaccurate claims about pitches in England to defend the Nagpur pitch is rather childish.

Exactly I more annoyed the fact everyone think this is the worst rank turner or india never prepared these pitches before etc.
Amla think this was the first time he ever face these conditions which is funny considering he played in 2006 kanpur test which finished inside 3 days.

Difference being no one knew how to bat time, countless more examples of pitch like this.

More laughable quote was from the coach saying SA lost because of the toss.

The ball barely moved at trent bridge, the aussies just kept pushing hard at good length balls

Watch broads wickets on YouTube, the pitch wasn't green and there was hardly any movement

England made 390 on that wicket against Starc, Johnson and Hazlewood

And at edgbaston both teams made 250 plus, England's match total was 400-12

The coach was very wrong

It turned a lot from ball one, so the toss had no bearing, they lost because there batsmen had no method of scoring runs against the turning ball

I would say it was an under prepared wicket as it shouldn't be going through the top on ball one, but I would prefer a pitch as a spectator that turns all the time as often in the sub continent its win the toss win the game as it's flat for two days then turns after that
