you can tell it is sluggish, by the amount of inside edges so far in this game.
loads of balls going past the stumps.

There have been two or three other times when the ball could have rolled back onto the stumps, so it could be a little fault Jennings needs to guard against,

The ball he was dropped off was the real worry. Got squared up a couple of times early, and that one he edged it and should have been gone. Not great batting from an opener, every time Ishant got his line right he looked like he could get Jennings playing. Having said that, when the Indians drifted onto his pads, they got thundered. He looked pretty comfortable in the end, until he gets his equal slice of bad luck.

One has to question Malan's place in the team very seriously now. Just a standard lbw that. He might look fantastic when powering through the ball to the boundary, but his defence just inst good enough.

Wonder how many other people average 27 and got 15 matches unbroken to play, without much pressure of being dropped either.

Shami looking handy. That yorker he throws in always keeping the batsman wary.

Looks like an Indian wicket. The ball is staying very low, at times collected by keeper near ankle. Umesh Yadav has been very slow than his usual pace. Shami who was struggling with pace in SA test series, is bowling at nice pace. So some surprises there given how things have panned out. Given the Indian bowling attack / options nowadays is the best ever in Indian cricket history, this has been an under-performance so far. One dropped catch did not help. Joe has managed to hold on this England innings well and deserves this 50. Perhaps the pace attack will show true colors when the wicket is more favorable to pacers or probably even as soon as Joe gets out. I hope so....
