The thunderstorms have gone from Sunday, but plenty of rain forecast, some of it light, but not just showers.

I hope so, otherwise they've just wasted an hour. Given the first test declaration, our new style of play and that we need to win the test to have a chance of winning the series, you'd think they would have been a bit more risky in their approach.

And England bat on.

They've really taken to heart that criticism of their declaration at Edgbaston...

Johnny left 99*. Jimmy the Saint walks off and tells him it's payback for all those drops.

England lead by 275.

Hard lines for Jonny...

England done exactly what I suggested. Set up the rest of the game on England batting once.

Have the Aussies done enough to get the draw?

This might be where they win the Ashes, with England well on top on day three. Four down and still well behind.

How much play is expected over the next two days? England will be kicking themselves if the Aussies hold on.

Only opinion I can find is no play tomorrow, some play on Sunday afternoon. But who knows. It's the weather.

Just read that this is the first time since 1930 that six of England's top seven have reached 50 in the same innings.
