Who would be our likely captain, if Cook were to go, not that I think he will?

Cook will go if they lose to NZ and Australia, I would have though.

Root, Moeen and Bell are likely candidates. Root is the likeliest.

Downton and Moores' positions are untenable at present, christ knows how they've managed to hold on to their positions through all the bungled management that has happened over the last year and a bit. Cook seems to be becoming increasingly detached with reality, in many ways directly proportional to the degree his own performance has slipped. His comments after the World Cup were so far removed from the reality of what has gone on under his tenure it does make one wonder what the heck is going on behind the scenes.

Cook has a future as England captain, but only if those who are pulling his strings are gotten rid of.

Bell for me.

Bell strikes me as a little too much like Cook. A bit like for like for me.

Root is a possible. KP? :P

Whoever takes over from Cook has to be able to lead from the front. Cook's dire performances over the last few years have led to this entire situation in many ways. Taylor would be the logical choice, if he were in the side.

TBH I've no problem with Cook if he delivers, but his ODI form meant that the selectors had no choice but to drop him.

Graves "mediocre" comment suggests that our players need to put in a shift or they could find themselves on a zero hour contract.

moores passing the buck already

But Moores rejected the notion that he must win in the West Indies to hold on to his job, with England set to play New Zealand in May before the Ashes series starts in July.

"It doesn't work like that," he said. "We all know we're in a results business.

If Moores keeps this up, maybe B&Q won't have to shut shops.

Too embarrassed to appear. Nothing to do with the clown outfits, he just didn't want to be seen in the same photo as Peter Moores.

Incidentally I saw Peter Moores pre-tour press conference yesterday and most of it seemed to be about KP.
