interesting that....

shiv loses his place in the squad to Chandrika who has a first class average in the 20s.

:hmmm

Anything else to this? Son of a selector?

Disgraceful, and for a two match series which I don't recall ever happening between these two sides. Should have allowed him to have a farewell if they are not regarding this as an important series.

Two test matches should not be called a series anyway. Sure there is a series of events, first there's the first test and then there's the second test, but seriously.

Chris Rogers has been ruled out of the first Test with a concussion. I guess that means Twatto will probably open, with Mitch Marsh at 6.

I read Shaun Marsh will open (didn't he in the warm up?) and Voges will bat in the middle order.

Hazlewood, Mitch1&2, Lyon, for the attack?

Who will Ryano come in for in the Ashes?

Hazlewood seems pretty hot at the moment.

But so does everyone else.

It'll be probably Mitchell Starc that makes way, I'd say... until someone breaks down.

I read some English media hyping spats arc as Australia's great threat for this series yesterday. Can't see him out?

I hope Australia pick Adam V and not fawad because spinners do well at windsor park...wearing my West Indies cap of course.

I think England similarly missed a trick by not playing Rashid against us.

but I am not complaining!

Starc has gone nowhere near bringing his form in the shorter game to tests. Although he has been stupendous in the BBL and CWC, so that may well be the turning point for him.

Aus have some nice selection issues with the fast bowling set up.

Starc not getting a game just shows how deep the bowling is.

Aussies do like selecting a leg spinner so maybe Ahmed might get picked. Just not the same depth in the spinning department for Australia.
