Off to Vegas this weekend, so hope to find a TV there with the cricket on, but very unlikely. Might put a bet on the Ashes if I can find a sportsbook there that knows what they are.

So an away "sort of" series for Australia, whom like most teams have performed miserably away from home lately. The Windies will fancy themselves and Australia will be looking for a vital confidence booster.

I can see this going either way.

On paper it appears that way, just a little concerned about where the boys heads are these days when they are away from home. The modern cricketer has become quite soft IMHO. Homesickness seems to be a big factor, but if you can't get it right in the Windies then I guess good luck anywhere else.

Just the British pessimism coming out in me perhaps.

That was hopeless pessimism. It felt pretty positive. I think you need to top up on a northern English winter before you try pessimism again.
