clubcricketeradi wrote:SL favorites imo slightly. Saffers pace attack might not get much out of SCG wicket. Immy and Dumminy can be tackled well by the likes of Dilly,Sanga,Mahela,Angelo and Thisarra. The middle order bowling will be a huge concern for Saffers against Lanka on this wicket. Lanka has a weak pace bowlign apart form Malinga, but Dilly, Lahiru and one specialist spinner will be doing lot of bowling against Saffers. SL have players with huge experience who also have handled the big match pressure much better than Saffers. This is at least very competitive on paper.

No more Sanga or Jaya in ODIs. That was Jaya's last international altogether, I think.

Surprising result. Although I did say if SA were to win, it'll be a thumping and not a close game. :pint

Yeah, hence "surprising result". But I did say if SA were to win, they'd thrash SL rather than being a close game. SA never win close games!

Well they may win one some day. Not sure it was a surprising result, but the manner of it was.

The highest scoring one dayer of all time was a pretty close game.

I think that you are just stating a truism that will be proven false fairly soon.
