But no... they picked a team centred around giving England some much needed confidence. Its just bizarre
agree.
none of the selection made sense, then again not sure how many players were even available for these two games.
I think the players, the board and the region need to have a big discussion on where their want to be in 5-10 years times.
Biggest issue at the moment for West indies is that 12-15 players don't even wanna play for West indies any more, they missing too many test and first class cricket to play in T20 leagues around the world even when the pay isn't even that great in those leagues.
Better than pay for playing for the West Indies, considerably less nonsense too.
Doubly agree...some of the A team hopefuls are currently taking part in a 20-man camp, but the other players who actually performed in the PCL could have been picked. The six Kittians who played in the PCL all failed, as SP pointed out in a previous post. Here would be a team that actually did well in the domestic competition:
1) Tyrone Theophile
2) Raj Chandrika
3) Vishal Singh
4) Narsing Deonarine
5) Jason Mohammed
6) Roston Chase
7) Chadwick Walton/Andre Fletcher
8 ) Damion Jacobs
9) Jomel Warrican/Nikita Miller
10) Mervin Mathew
11) Kenroy Peters
12) Johnson Charles
13) Chris Barnwell
None of these players are in the 20-man training squad. Talk about a missed opportunity, and not learning from history, in this case, 2009....
Nobody has a stance quite like the mighty Shivnarine....
