India have improved since the Tri-series so I reckon this is gonna be an interesting match.

Personally I still think Aus will win it.

India need to bat first, score 320+ and put pressure on Aus.
We cant chase what they post. With their scary lineup, if they bat first, our bowlers will just wilt under pressure - aka 2003 final.

India's batting lineup the stronger, and going on this WC alone, by far the more reliable. Even with Kholi in mediocre form - though he does like playing Aus, and the big time occasion.

Australia's bowling lineup much the stronger.

Neither side a pushover in their repsective weaker areas though, and both are capable of dominating the opposition, on their day.

This is the matchup of the tournament. I think that the results of the tri-series, and even the test series, matters not a jot for this game

If the pitch turns then India have a decent chance.

This is the one ground that India would want to play Australia at during this WC.

For me it will come down to who wins the toss, wins the match.

I had the same view about the ground/pitch and Sri Lanka, Yuppie. Made no difference - although it wasn't a knockout match.

imo, after their batting, India's greatest strength is MS Dhoni's leadership. I don't know if he is a great catain, but I think he is a great leader.

Like cf says, it's a toughie. India have a great top six, but a weak 7-11, whereas Australia have more depth, and perhaps a more potent bowling line up, though I'd take India's top six ahead of their's..........maybe!

Australia it is.

i think this match will hinge on how the indian top order copes with the pace and bounce of hazlewood, starc and johnson

i fancy the aussies to win, i just think they have more match winning bowlers and have a much more attacking captain

i do think the winner will come from the other semi though, that is assuming new zealand can get past the windies
