I read earlier that George Bailey turned up the the Cup Winners presentation yesterday wearing his substitute's bib. He doesn't take much personally - just AC's unrelenting criticism of him.

Maybe Michael Clarke made him wear his sub vest to the presentation.

I read somewhere that he chose to wear it to the presentation having refused to put it on at the start of the match,

Four days after hosting 93K+ for the CWC final, the MCG was the scene for the opening of the Aussie Rules season, with another 83,000 in attendence. The G is the true heart of Melbourne, one of the great sporting cities of the world.

Unfortunatley, FTS' and my team lost.......

We went into Melbourne this week to meet our son for lunch - yes it's a wonderful open city. We toured his offices on Collins Street and then went to the nearby Food Hall which had something for everyone's taste buds, including the children.

Great seeing all the familiar landmarks again including the 'G' - I didn't bother with photos as I have loads from previous visits and little has changed to the landscape over the ten years we've been coming here.

:salute

What area do your kids live in, KJ?

Are you going to get to the Queen Vic Markets? Probably my favourite spot in Melbourne. I just love the Seafood and the Smallgoods/Cheese Pavillions.

Hampton GJ which as you probably know has an excellent choice of shops, cafes and restaurants and close to the beach, St Kilda etc. There's a family do here tomorrow - about 24 of us - with all the cooking and decorations in house so they're very busy.

Don't know if we'll go into Melbourne much as son has taken time off work now until we leave in about 11 days - probably go out to Healsville and the Dandenongs.

We've done some major sight seeing on previous trips eg Great Ocean Road, Twelve Apostles, Mount Buller, Philip Island and the penguins, Sydney and the Harbour, Cairns, Port Douglas and the reef. This is very much a family visit but I shall certainly mention the Markets.

Anyway hope you are all well - kind regards and thanks as ever
