pathetic that we couldn't bowl them out, considering we had them 5 down at lunch...however fair play to Holder and Ramdin, they did a terrific job for the windies!!

Tredwell injured his arm diving for a catch according to Moores and will be assessed before the 2nd test. Moores also effectively confirmed Trott would stay as opener-makes sense as it would be daft to ditch him after 1 game.

Assuming Tredwell is not fit for the 2nd test, if Rashid gets overlooked for Moeen Ali then I just give up.

I thought Rashid was going home and being made avaliable for Yorkshire..

There was something on commentary during the game about him staying because the management won't be sure if Moeen is ready to play until they assess him! If Moeen gets the all clear maybe Rashid will then be released.

I'd have thought so. Would have been better to let him play for Worcestershire to prepare for the NZ tests.

when has anything England have done regarding management of injuries made sense ?

It was hard to understand Broad bowling outside off in his final spell. Attack the stumps. Just basics.
